<p>The crash happened across the street from Westlake High School, said the Ventura County Fire Department.</p>
<p>Of the five injured victims, two were in critical condition and one was in moderate condition, said the department.</p>
<p>Two others received minor injuries.</p>
<p>All of the injured were pedestrians.</p>

<p>The driver was trapped in the vehicle after it flipped over following the crash.</p>
<p>The Ventura County <a href="https://www.the-sun.com/topic/police/">Sheriff&#8217;s</a> Department does not believe <a href="https://www.the-sun.com/topic/drugs/">drugs</a> or alcohol were involved in the crash at this time.  </p>
<p>However, the driver was named as a suspect who stabbed a <a href="https://www.the-sun.com/topic/walmart/">Walmart</a> employee in Simi Valley earlier today, said the Simi Valley Police Department.</p>
<p>The stabbing happened around 2.45pm &#8211; about an hour before the crash.</p>
<p>The employee is expected to survive.  </p>
