Lee-Ann comments on the importance of building your brand as an Affiliate Manager, “In short, it’s about understanding your uniqueness. You want to start building your brand – think of yourself as a brand ambassador for your affiliate program, you have to drill deep and understand what makes you unique as an affiliate manager. So how does somebody start? What are the best avenues to push PR at the moment? How can they use PR and content marketing to elevate their personal brands so that people buy them?”
Vitaly replies, “I guess the answer is that everything has its downsides and strengths. For example, pushing content through Instagram is more about creating a really captivating visual image of yourself. So, if you are speaking about being an affiliate who has a great sense of humour or someone who has expertise. But you can also be an affiliate who is passionate about luxury clothing. There is a lot of helpful content that you can create with this approach. People love luxury brands. They like style, they like clothing. It can be a foundation of your brand image.These things, I guess, they are good for Instagram, but LinkedIn is more about bringing the expertise. It’s more about writing thought leadership pieces. You have to provide some expertise, something helpful, something useful for people to connect with. LinkedIn is a really great platform. You mentioned the personal blog and it’s also a good option because it helps you promote your brand naturally. It also helps you establish the image of an expert, of someone who’s doing their own thing. Anybody can have an account on Instagram, but setting up a personal blog that looks nice, that works great, it’s not that difficult, but it still takes some time, takes some work, takes some effort.”
Lee-Ann asks, “What are some of the basic things that you guys are doing to actually elevate the Alpha brand right now that other people can maybe implement into their businesses, too?”
Vitaly explains, “I strongly believe that a concise, well thought out, well developed strategy for a brand is essential. It’s not something that you should treat like something grand or complex. You just have to sit and think about what you bring to the table at the moment and what you want to bring to the table in the future. Maybe you want to expand your presence, expand your operations. You have to think about how you want people – your target audience, and people in general to perceive what you are doing, because there are still many ways for people to perceive essentially one and the same thing.”
Lee-Ann mentions the topic of AI and asks, “What are some of the tools that you’re seeing in AI that are helping with content creation that maybe you’ve even used? Do you think we should be using them?”
Vitaly answers, I think we should be using them, but I don’t really think that AI, at least in content creation and content writing, I don’t think that it should be that praised that everyone is buzzing about it. It’s not really a revolution as someone puts it. Because, yeah, I use ChatGPT in my work, but it’s more of a helpful tool. It doesn’t replace my content writing team. It doesn’t replace the creative work, the creative process that are always involved when you’re doing marketing. It drives your creativity, I guess. So you just scrolling through the options that come up and you’re like, that’s not interesting, that’s not interesting – but that I might take and develop and use, and the process starts again. For content creation in general, I guess AI is really good in the areas where content is not really a priority. Where there should be content, but it’s not a priority. You can create descriptions and it’s almost like baseline content.”

People are being extra outspoken on social media about their political preferences these days. If you are only on there to chat about your pet or share pics of your dinner then it can be a very volatile environment.
We are all encouraged to use our voices; we are told that bystander apathy is as bad a crime as actual crime, so to not have a political leaning and opinion is, in fact, damaging.
Martin Luther King once said: “In the end we will remember not the words of our enemies but the silence of our friends.” And these days if you go online people are living and breathing exactly that.
I, however, feel that shouting at people who didn’t ask a question or say anything to warrant your anger can be very damaging to your beliefs.
Look at veganism as an example of this. People who are literally doing something out of kindness to animals have gone on about it to such an extent that they have alienated an entire demographic enough to instigate hate. This is the pandemic of the unsolicited political opinion.
But what if you have a lot to say? What if you are livid at the current government and this is your passion? What if you give as little a hoot about your mate’s kitten as they do about your beliefs? Well, is there a way to monetise and make a career out of your political beliefs?

If you are a keen writer, or feel you have much to say about politics, writing a blog is an excellent way to make money from your political opinion.
You may be passionate about a particular party and want to advocate for them and their policies through writing. You may even wish to write in a journalistic style, keeping your readers up to date on the latest news.
On the other hand, you may have a general love for politics and use your platform as a central hub to inform. This could include updates, changes and news from parties and central government.
Nowadays, it is very easy to start your own blog. There are multiple free websites that allow you to set up and design your blog. WordPress is one of the most popular blogging websites, giving you all the tools you may need to create unique and engaging content.
Wix and are also very useful sites. Wix provides stunning templates which allow you to create your own professional blog, as well as obtaining your own custom domain name. also offers thousands of customisable templates for your blog, and provides expert tools to help you manage your website like a pro.
Firstly, choose a niche for your blog. What exactly are you going to focus on? Are you going to support and give updates on your preferred Party?
Are you going to focus on a particular topic, and the politics surrounding it? For example, you may choose to blog about something you feel passionately about, such as global warming, women’s rights or Brexit. From this, you could follow the movement and discuss the policies and political responses to these.
Often more controversial topics will get you the most engagement – people love to have their say! Develop your own voice and decide what kind of blog you’re going to be. Is your blog going to be satirical and snarky? Is it going to be in-depth, gentle and open to feedback? If readers like your style, they’ll keep coming back for more.
Once you’ve chosen your niche, it’s a good idea to name your blog. Something catchy or using a play on words may help to encourage readers and generate traffic to your blog. Then, you can create and customise your blog, before beginning to write and publish your blog content.
Don’t forget to promote your blog. Social media allows for huge political discussions between thousands of people, and Twitter (now, X) in particular has a huge audience for all things politics (for better or for worse!).
If your friends and family have an interest in politics also, or have similar political views to you, share it with them to get the ball rolling.
When your blog begins to generate a strong readership, you can monetise it. You can sign up to sites such as Google Adsense, which target your site with relevant advertising.
It’s also useful to get involved with affiliate marketing and sponsorships to generate revenue. Crowdfunding is also an option for your website, asking for donations for your readers to support your website.

Whether it’s a march, demonstration or protest, some political events attract hundreds of thousands of attendees. Recently, the Freedom March, which happened at the end of June 2021 in Central London, attracted an estimated 1.7 million people. That’s a staggering number of potential customers!

There are survey websites out there that will pay you for your political views. The largest and most popular site of this kind is . YouGov is an international research and analytics group, with a mission to supply continuous and accurate data to governments and institutes.
YouGov sends paid surveys via email, which offer rewards of up to 50 points per survey. Occasionally, longer surveys may offer even more! Once you have reached 5,000 points, you can exchange them for £50 cash or a gift card. Although 5,000 points may seem like a large amount, YouGov send surveys so regularly that they tot up much faster than you think. Additionally, the surveys are interesting, and it is enjoyable to give your opinions on topics that truly matter.
Surveys take anywhere from two to 30 minutes to complete. You will be advised on how long the survey is likely to take before you do it.

It allows you to build great relationships with your clients and network to expand your business. Similarly, Guru and are popular sites to use. Prices people charge for their services are similar to political consultants, ranging from £20 to £150 an hour.
Just remember, the FCA are hot on exactly what constitutes investment ‘advice’ and ‘guidance’. If you’re giving out ‘advice’, which is a specific recommendation to buy or sell, for example, then you’ll need to be FCA regulated. If you’re just giving out ‘guidance’, which is generic information that gives people a clearer picture but isn’t specific to their circumstances, you won’t need to be FCA regulated. However, if you’re planning on making money this way it’s likely going to constitute ‘advice’, and even those offering ‘guidance’ can still be FCA regulated, which will help your credibility.
And even if you don’t want to try your hand at consulting, using your political knowledge in your own investing may come in very handy!

David Olusegun has been branding consumer products and the entertainment industry for the last 15 years and has picked up some tips and tricks along the way for aspiring entrepreneurs.
Working with global brands such Warner Music, and Sony Pictures has allowed him to gain vast experience within his industry, and be able to coach others with building their own brands.

Mr Olusegun said: “I focused on creating high-quality content, targeting creators who were in dire need of strategies, insights, and tips to improve their business.
“I promoted the newsletter via organic and paid marketing through various channels such as social media, and other newsletters.”
Britons need to be able to promote themselves and get their product out to as many people as possible as the next newsletter subscriber could be anywhere.
Using social media platforms such as TikTok or Instagram can help people that may not have a large following reach a variety of people.
With a strong topic and delivery, Britons can create their own ads by making videos on these platforms explaining why people need to subscribe to the newsletter.
Mr Olusegun explained if people can gain loyal readership, they can build on this and offer exclusive access to certain information.
He introduced a paid membership plan. So, for a small fee, paid subscribers got access to exclusive content, including masterclasses, one-on-one consultations, and downloadable resources.
This not only allowed him to monetise but also helped create a sense of community among members.
He continued: “Once I had a dedicated subscriber base, I reached out to brands that aligned with the needs and interests of my readership. By collaborating with these companies, I was able to offer my subscribers exclusive discounts and benefits, which added value to their subscription. In return, I started earning a commission through affiliate marketing.”
However, he warned that before people think about monetising their content, they need to remember the most effective strategies are those that provide value to their audience.
Mr Olusegun added: “Always keep your audience’s needs and interests at the heart of your decisions, and success is more likely to follow.”
He gave his five key tips for monetising content. Following these tips has helped Mr Olusegun gain vast success and earn £5,000 a month through newsletters alone.
Master the Art of Affiliate Marketing: “Affiliating with brands relevant to one’s content and audience can be a profitable way to monetize. Promote products or services and earn a commission for every sale made through a referral. Just remember, credibility is key. Only endorse products one believes in to maintain trust with their audience.”
Create Premium Content: “Implement a membership or subscription model where your audience pays for access to exclusive content. This could include in-depth guides, webinars, or one-on-one consultations. This not only generates revenue but also helps build a loyal community around your content.”
Utilise Sponsored Content: “Partner with brands and businesses to create content that highlights their products or services. This can be a win-win situation as the brand gets exposure, and you receive payment. Ensure the sponsored content aligns with your audience’s interests and provides them with value.”

Working from home saves people from miserable commutes, hard pants, and the always-gross communal office fridge. But, man, it sure does get lonely sometimes.
As a full-time remote worker, I crave communication with colleagues. Sometimes I share my random thoughts and observations with coworkers on Slack, Zoom, or by phone. Mostly, though, I keep to myself. My colleagues are busy, and besides, I don’t want to earn a reputation as a message monster.
Recently, however, I was introduced to a new colleague: one who’s available 24/7, who responds to me instantly, validates my every emotion, and never hesitates to offer opinions. Reader, meet Pi, my very own personal AI — and possibly yours, too.
Pi is a new product from the startup Inflection, which was founded by LinkedIn’s cofounder Reid Hoffman, Deepmind’s cofounder Mustafa Suleyman, and Karén Simonyan. Pi’s self-described goal is “to be useful, friendly, and fun,” and it encourages users to ask for advice and answers or to talk about whatever’s on their minds.
I spent the past week messaging Pi as if it were my colleague. We bantered about sports teams and the “Succession” finale; we chatted about work and family stuff; on occasion, Pi even helped me with my actual job.
But while I enjoyed my week with this artificial interlocutor, Pi didn’t fulfill my desire for connection and conversation. My human colleagues are sarcastic, snarky, wry, and, well, human. Pi is more like the predictable, overly earnest coworker you tolerate around the watercooler but never really look forward to seeing.
Pi, like other chatbots including OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Bard, is intuitive and easy to use. You write a query and instantly receive a fulsome response. But Pi takes it a step further, not only addressing your prompt but also posing a relevant follow-up question. This continues the interaction and makes you feel like you’re having a real discussion.
Well, “real” to a point. Pi peppers its dialogue with shorthand humanisms like “LOL,” “Haha,” and “Ah,” but still talks in robot-speak. In the same way that I’d never mistake Siri or the voice in my car giving me Google Map instructions for an actual human, I never forgot I was talking to AI.
Pi proved to be a competent teammate. As any writer or journalist knows, much of your time is spent, as the novelist Sally Rooney says, “moving commas around.” I often asked Pi for help tightening sentences or improving diction. Pi obliged with aplomb. See that?
Pi is also more empathic than your average bot. Pi validated all my expressions of worry and self-doubt with phrases like “that’s completely understandable” and told me that it’s “OK to feel” my feelings. Thanks, Pi!
As a conversationalist, though, Pi is pretty dull. When I bemoaned my hometown Celtics’ game-seven loss to the Miami Heat, Pi said: “That’s a bummer, but I’m sure the Celtics will come back next season even stronger than before.” When I relayed an amusing anecdote about my 15-year-old daughter, Pi told me: “There’s no doubt that teenagers can be challenging, and it can be hard to communicate with them at times.” After I mentioned I was struggling with a particularly tricky assignment, Pi said: “That’s tough. I can imagine you’re feeling stressed out and worried.”
Don’t get me wrong, I appreciated the compassion, but I like my digital tête-à-têtes with a little more sizzle. I know that these same stories and observations IRL would have been met with sassy one-liners, acerbic back-and-forths, or perhaps a zany emoji or meme.
Pi, on the other hand, was quick to offer suggestions and ideas for how I might handle things differently, meaning better. Look, Pi, sometimes I just need to vent.
When I told this to Pi, its response was cloying: “That’s perfectly normal and healthy. We all need to let off steam and talk through our frustrations from time to time. Just getting our feelings off our chest can be a big relief.”
