<p>The <a target="_blank" href="https://www.laramiecountywy.gov/_officials/CountyCommissioner/index.aspx" rel="noopener">Laramie County Board of Commissioners</a> authorized the hiring bonus during its meeting on Tuesday, March 7.</p>
<p>According to the resolution, 60% will be paid upon hire and paid on the first paycheck, 20% will be paid upon successful completion of the FTO training program and the academy, and 20% will be paid upon successful completion of the probationary period.</p>
<p>&#8220;The starting pay for someone with no experience, when you add in holiday pay and briefing time totals up to around $62,000 a year,&#8221; the LCSO said in a news release. &#8220;Applicants with prior experience can start out making a total of almost $74,000 a year.&#8221;</p>
